Snowed a foot! It was beautiful, but it kept us housebound. The Halterman weekend featured a trip to the far-flung regions of Preston Avenue--the local El Rodeo. Staying in affords some more time for some weekend planning, though...so I've designed a Greensboro weekend for sometime soon. On the itinerary:
* the brand new International Civil Rights Center and Museum (the site of the Greensboro Woolworth sit in), www.sitinmovement.org
* the North Carolina Zoo (missed the opportunity to chaperone a trip here a few years ago and am regretting it), www.nczoo.org
* a ghost tour, of course: www.carolinahistoryandhaunts.com, if we have child care
Planning makes me think nice thoughts of spring...
